Fatima al-Fihri was a real person

Her father was a merchant who earned quite a bit of money. When he died, he left his money to his daughters, Fatima and Maryam. Both of them used the money to build mosques, although Fatima’s mosque later became a university, called al-Qarawiyyin University.

It still exists today, and is probably the oldest university in the world. Fatima was very well educated and studied the Hadith and the Fiqh, which were what the best scholars studied.

Every time you meet a woman who was a known historical figure, you get a Famous Woman Badge.
