Touria Chaoui was a real person
She was the first Moroccan woman to become an aviator, which is someone who flies planes. She decided to go to aviation school when she was 15 years old. At the time, there were no female pilots and hardly any Moroccan people at the school (it was mostly reserved for French people). However, there wasn’t a rule to stop her from joining, so she was allowed in. The heads of the school thought she would give up quickly.
But she didn’t give up and in a year, she was a qualified pilot!
