You’ve received another Famous Woman Badge!

Tomoe Gozen was a real person

Tomoe was a female fighter in early Japan, called an onna-musha, which is like a samurai. Her father was also a fighter who taught her the skills she needed.

She fought at the Battle of Awazu and she did cut off at least one head! Plays, poems and songs have been written about how brave she was.

Every time you meet a woman who was a known historical figure, you get a Famous Woman Badge.
