You’ve also received a Famous Woman Badge!

Petra Herrera was a real person!

She joined up to fight in the Mexican Revolution. But women weren’t allowed to fight, so she dressed as a man and called herself Petra Herrera. By the time people found out she was a woman, she was already a great leader and important soldier.

But she got kicked out of the army, so she set up her own brigade of fighting women. She had 400 women in her group - they (and other women who fought in the Revolution) were called Adelitas. Until the end, Pancho Villa refused to acknowledge her skill in fighting and leading.

Every time you meet a woman who was a known historical figure, you get a Famous Woman Badge.
