Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz was a real person!

She taught herself many things, in a library that she was given by her grandfather. She joined a nunnery and spent time writing poems and books about important topics. Lots of people visited her in the nunnery to learn from her and teach her.

She talked a lot about how badly women were treated. In fact, she made the Bishop of Puebla so angry he forced her to sell all her books and stop her work. She died a little while after that, but people still read her books today. Some people call her the first feminist of Mexico.

Every time you meet a woman who was a known historical figure, you get a Famous Woman Badge.
